VCAALC Community initiatives

Since 2021, the Volusia County African American Leadership Council (VCAALC) has led a series of impactful community initiatives aimed at promoting civic engagement, social equity, and community empowerment. Grounded in collaboration, VCAALC has worked alongside local organizations, faith leaders, and grassroots advocates to address pressing community needs and elevate African American voices in Volusia County.

Key initiatives have included:

  • Voter Education and Mobilization: Hosting forums, workshops, and outreach campaigns to inform and empower voters, with a focus on increasing turnout in underserved communities.

  • Youth and Leadership Development: Supporting programs that mentor and prepare young leaders through education, advocacy, and civic responsibility.

Through these efforts, VCAALC continues to build momentum for sustainable change, ensuring that community voices are heard and needs are met with action.
